You can quickly get started in a project with only a few items to start.

  • 01 Design Alignment

    For linear projects, import a design-alignment polyline via DXF, KML, SHP, or LandXML. You can also draw an approximate polyline in an interactive map. For non-linear projects, simply close the polyline to enable classic site survey mode, where it functions as project extents.

  • Your project schema can be quickly set up via import of collector dictionary, mapping software seed file, or convenient manual entry.

  • Import CSV or XLSX point files. Rich metadata will be attached along the way for project tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A Data Halo project admin is the creator of a project and can manage all its settings. On the Seat and Standard plans, this person is named on the order form.

  • A Viewer in a project can see and export all the data. A Contributor has these abilities, and can also import and edit data with the suite of QC tools.

  • There is no charge for support and fulfilled feature requests. Data Halo has never charged anything other than the up front subscription fee.

  • Data Halo is built with the Django framework on Ubuntu Servers. Our Information Security Plan is available on request.

  • You can have an unlimited number of pipelines and design alignments in a project, each of them treated distinctly.

  • Data Halo provides available API examples within various pages. The API's are shown as Python HTTP requests which can be copied and pasted to your application with minimal editing required. Developers of other languages can use the concepts for their own HTTP requests. With the use of these API's, your developers can import, export, and perform various Data Halo tasks.
